GatorFoam earns its premium positioning through its surface layer—a thin skin of extruded polystyrene that gives it the smooth, hard, consistent surface that standard foamcore's paper coating simply can't match. The XPS face layer prevents the pitting, texture variation, and absorbency inconsistency that can affect standard foam board printing, resulting in a cleaner, more professional graphic output with sharper text and smoother color transitions. The rigid foam core maintains structural integrity in larger format panels without the weight penalty of solid plastic or metal substrates. GatorFoam is an indoor-use material—the XPS surface is more water-resistant than paper-faced foam board but is not designed for outdoor exposure. Available in 3/16", 1/2", and 1" thicknesses in white and black finishes.
