When the only job is to be seen

Fluorescent paper absorbs ultraviolet light and re-emits it as visible colour, which is why a neon label appears brighter than anything around it under shop, warehouse or daylight. It is the cheapest way to make a message impossible to miss: a sale price, a hazard warning, a lot number, an 'inspected' mark. Our Fluorescent Roll Labels come in five neon colours on a matte paper that takes CMYK print and ballpoint pen, with permanent or clean-removable adhesive.

Five colours — and what each one signals

  • Fluorescent Orange: the universal 'sale' and 'attention' colour. Clearance tags, price reductions, safety cones' cousin.
  • Fluorescent Yellow: caution and highlighting. Warning labels, 'fragile', 'this side up', hazard marking.
  • Fluorescent Green: go / approved / passed. QC-approved, inspected, in-stock, eco promotions.
  • Fluorescent Pink: promotions and events aimed at standing out from orange competitors; popular for boutique sales and festivals.
  • Fluorescent Red (Neon): urgent — recall, hold, stop, danger, final markdown.

Permanent or removable?

  • Permanent: for anything that must stay — warning labels, asset tags, shipping cartons, equipment marking. Service range –4 °F to 158 °F.
  • Removable: for temporary messages — sale pricing, seasonal promos, 'new' stickers, rental and demo equipment. Peels cleanly for up to 6 months without residue on glass, plastic, coated card and painted metal.
  • Aggressive: for corrugated, recycled board and cold-storage cartons where standard permanent can lift.

Printing on neon paper

The fluorescent base is your background colour — you cannot print white or lighter than the paper. Black type and black rules give the strongest contrast and are what 90% of fluorescent labels use. Dark blue, dark green and burgundy also read well; yellow, light grey or pastel ink disappear. The matte surface takes ballpoint and permanent marker, so leave a blank write-in panel for prices, dates or lot numbers. Supply CMYK PDF at 300 DPI; we hold black as a rich, dense single ink for sharp edges.

Optional lamination

  • None (default): writable matte surface, lowest cost.
  • Gloss lamination: wipe-clean and scuff-proof for shop floors and warehouses — but not writable.
  • Matte lamination: scuff protection while keeping the matte look.
  • UV-Resistant Gloss: for window displays and sun-exposed signage — fluorescent dyes fade in direct sun, and this laminate slows it dramatically.

Who uses fluorescent labels

  • Retail: sale, clearance, price-drop, 'as-is', 'last one' tags.
  • Warehouses and 3PLs: pick-zone, priority, QC, hold and 'do not ship' markers.
  • Manufacturing: inspected/rejected tags, lot and batch numbers, calibration due dates.
  • Shipping: fragile, this way up, perishable, hazmat supplementary marks.
  • Events: wristband stickers, VIP and backstage marks, session colour-coding.
  • Schools and offices: filing, colour-coded asset tags, visitor badges.

Frequently asked questions

Are these labels made in the USA?
Yes. Every roll is printed, die-cut and finished in our Houston, Texas facility — made in the USA — and we ship nationwide to all 50 states with same-day dispatch on orders confirmed before 11 AM CT.
Can I write on fluorescent labels?
Yes — the unlaminated matte paper takes ballpoint pen and permanent marker. Choose no lamination or matte lamination if you need to hand-write prices or dates.
Do the removable labels leave residue?
No. The removable acrylic adhesive peels cleanly from glass, plastic, coated card and painted metal for up to 6 months.
Will neon labels fade in a shop window?
Fluorescent dyes fade in direct sunlight over weeks. Choose the UV-Resistant Gloss lamination for window and outdoor-facing displays.
Can I print white or light colours on them?
No — the neon paper is the lightest colour available. Design in black or dark inks for contrast.
Are fluorescent labels suitable for outdoor use?
They are rated indoor-only. For outdoor hazard or equipment marking, use our UL Certified white PET labels with a coloured print.
What is the minimum order?
100 labels per colour per design.
