Our Silver Roll Labels are printed directly on a metallised silver face stock, so you get a chrome or brushed-steel finish without a foil die, in any shape, from 250 labels up to 100,000.

Four silver stocks — pick by environment, not just by look

• Silver BOPP (Outdoor / Waterproof): mirror-bright metallised film. Water-, oil- and tear-resistant. The all-rounder for beauty, beverage and household products that get wet or handled.
• Brushed Silver PET (Outdoor / Waterproof): a fine linear brushed-steel texture on tough polyester. The industrial and tech choice — equipment nameplates, serial plates, audio and appliance badges. Heat- and chemical-resistant.
• Silver Metalized Paper (Indoor): bright silver on a paper base at the lowest cost. Perfect for gift boxes, retail packaging, confectionery and anything that stays dry indoors.
• Silver BOPP Tight Mandrel (Outdoor / Waterproof): the same waterproof film with an adhesive engineered for small-diameter containers — lip balms, vials, pens, sample tubes — where standard labels lift at the edges.

Controlling the metallic effect with white ink

Ink is translucent, so anything printed straight onto silver becomes a metallic tint: cyan reads as chrome-blue, black as gunmetal, magenta as a cool rose. Lay down a white underprint first and colours become opaque and accurate. The best silver labels use both — a white-backed logo for legibility, bare silver for the background, and a few metallic tints for depth. Supply white as a spot colour named WHITE (overprint), or let our pre-press team build the layer free.

Design rules for silver

• High contrast wins: black, deep navy, charcoal and saturated brand colours pop on silver; pale tints disappear.
• Keep 30–50% of the label unprinted — the metal is the feature.
• Brushed PET hides fingerprints and photographs without hot-spots; mirror BOPP is more dramatic but shows handling — laminate it.
• Thin line-art and small type engrave well; keep hairlines above 0.25 pt and reversed type above 7 pt.
• Barcodes must sit on a white-underprinted panel — scanners cannot read black bars on reflective silver.

Finishing

• Gloss lamination: maximum chrome effect plus scuff protection.
• Matte lamination: turns mirror silver into a satin pewter — very popular for skincare and grooming.
• Soft-touch lamination: velvet over metal for fragrance and luxury tech packaging.
• Foil stamping: gold, rose gold or holographic foil on silver stock creates a two-metal label; a gold logo on brushed silver is a classic premium-audio look.

Are these labels made in the USA?

Yes. Every roll is printed, die-cut and finished in our Houston, Texas facility — made in the USA — and we ship nationwide to all 50 states with same-day dispatch on orders confirmed before 11 AM CT.

What is the difference between Silver BOPP and Brushed Silver PET?

Silver BOPP is a mirror-bright metallised film for consumer products; Brushed Silver PET is a tougher polyester with a brushed-steel texture built for industrial nameplates, heat and chemicals. Both are waterproof.

Can silver labels go outdoors?

Silver BOPP and Brushed Silver PET are rated for outdoor and waterproof use. Silver Metalized Paper is indoor-only.

Can I print colour on a silver label?

Yes — with a white-ink underprint beneath elements that need accurate colour. Without white, colours become metallic tints, which many brands use deliberately.

Will a barcode scan on a silver label?

Only if it sits on a white-underprinted panel. We add this automatically when we see a barcode in your artwork.

What is the Tight Mandrel option for?

Small-diameter containers (lip balms, vials, pens, sample tubes) where standard labels lift at the edge. The adhesive is formulated to hold on tight curves.

What is the minimum order?
