Replacement Tent Canopies — Rebrand or Refresh Your 10×10, 10×15 or 10×20 Without Buying a New Frame
When to replace a canopy instead of the whole tent, how to measure your frame so the new top fits, why dye-sublimated 6 oz polyester outlasts screen print, and how to order a matching canopy for 10×10, 10×15 and 10×20 hex frames. Made in the USA, ships nationwide in 2 business days.

Your frame will outlive your graphics — plan for it
A quality aluminum hex frame lasts a decade of markets and trade shows. The canopy on top of it will not: sun fades it, folding wears the seams, and — more often than anything — the brand changes. A new logo, a new tagline, a new colour palette or a new sponsor for the season, and suddenly the tent that cost you $565 looks out of date. The answer is a replacement canopy: the same 6 oz dye-sublimated weatherproof top we ship on every new tent, printed to your current artwork and sized to your existing frame. Order it on the tent product page as canopy-only, or send us your frame details for a quote.
When to replace the canopy vs. the whole tent
- Replace the canopy if: the frame legs are straight, the sliders lock firmly, the truss bars have no cracks and the feet are intact. That describes most frames under five years old.
- Replace the whole tent if: a leg is bent, a truss connector has snapped, the frame is steel and rusting, or it is an off-brand frame with non-standard dimensions that a new canopy will not fit.
- Rebranding? Canopy. Faded but structurally fine? Canopy. Blown over in a storm? Probably the whole tent — check the frame carefully before you decide.
Measuring your frame so the new canopy fits
Pop-up frames are not all identical, and a canopy that is two inches short will never sit taut. Measure with the frame fully extended and locked:
- Outer leg-to-leg distance, centre to centre, on both sides (a '10×10' is typically 116–120 in).
- Peak height from the top of the leg to the centre peak of the frame — this sets the canopy's pitch.
- Valance depth on your old canopy (usually 8–10 in) if you want to match it.
- Corner attachment type: Velcro straps, hook-and-loop pockets or pin-through corner pockets.
- Photograph the frame's model label if it has one. Send the numbers and photos with your order and our team will confirm the pattern before printing.
Why our canopies are dye-sublimated
- The dye is inside the polyester fibres, so the graphic cannot crack, peel or flake — the failure modes of screen-printed and vinyl-transfer canopies after one season of folding.
- Unlimited colours, gradients and photography at no extra cost; the whole top plus four valances can be one continuous design.
- 6 oz weather-resistant polyester with a water-repellent coating and UV-stable dyes rated for years of outdoor use.
- CPAI-84 flame-retardant fabric — the certificate most event organisers and fire marshals ask for.
- Machine-washable cold; hang to dry. Muddy-field weekends are not the end of the canopy.
Design tips for a canopy-only refresh
- The peak and four slopes are seen from a distance and from above — carry your biggest, simplest brand mark there.
- Valances are read at eye level from across the aisle: brand name, URL or one short message, repeated on all four sides. Text at least 6 inches tall.
- Keep critical elements 3 inches inside every seam and valance edge; fabric wraps the frame.
- If you keep the old walls, pull colour references from them so the new top matches.
- Supply CMYK PDF, AI, EPS, TIFF or PSD at 150 DPI full size on our canopy template; a Kolt designer pre-flights every file and sends a proof before printing.

Frequently asked questions
- Are replacement canopies made in the USA?
- Yes. Every canopy is printed, sewn and finished in our Houston, Texas facility — made in the USA — and ships nationwide to all 50 states.
- Will your canopy fit a frame I bought somewhere else?
- Usually. Send the leg-to-leg measurement, peak height, valance depth and corner attachment type (or photos) and we will confirm the pattern before we print. If it is a non-standard frame we will tell you.
- Can I order just the canopy without a frame?
- Yes — select 'Canopy Only' on the tent product page and note that it is a replacement in the production notes.
- How long does a dye-sublimated canopy last?
- Several seasons of regular use. The dyes are UV-stable and the print cannot peel or crack; the practical limit is usually seam wear or a rebrand.
- Can I change the design but keep my existing walls?
- Yes. Send us a photo of the walls and we will match colours; many customers refresh the top one season and the walls the next.
- What is the turnaround?
- 2 business days standard, 1 business day rush, plus 1–3 days ground shipping nationwide.
