Roll Label Materials — Paper, Synthetic, Clear, Silver, and Fluorescent

The material decides everything downstream

Paper labels cost 40% less than synthetic — but they warp, fray, and go transparent when they get wet. If your product ever meets a fridge, a shower, or an outdoor shelf, pay the 40%.

The five materials we roll

• Paper — dry pantry only. Cheapest. Great for spice jars, tea tins, dry-food SKUs. Product page: /shop/product/paper-roll-labels
• Synthetic (BOPP) — waterproof, freezer-safe, doesn't fray. The default for cosmetics, beverages, sauces. Product page: /shop/product/synthetic-roll-labels
• Clear polyester — 'no-label look' on glass bottles and jars. Waterproof. Cosmetics + spirits love it. Product page: /shop/product/clear-roll-labels
• Silver metallic — brushed-silver base, prints CMYK on top for a champagne / metallic-with-color effect. Product page: /shop/product/silver-roll-labels

Adhesive matters as much as the material

• Permanent — the default. Bonds in 24 hours, will not remove cleanly. Use for anything you don't want tampered with.
• Removable — for promotional stickers, temporary batch codes, seasonal packaging. Peels clean up to 90 days.
• Freezer-grade — required below 32°F. Standard adhesives crystallize and fail; freezer adhesive stays flexible to -40°F.
• High-tack — for textured surfaces, rough cardboard, kraft paper mailers. Costs $0.15/label more.
