Which business card stock should you choose?

16pt Semi-Gloss (C2S) is the workhorse: bright colour, sturdy, the best price per card and same-day eligible. 32pt Soft Touch adds a velvety suede laminate and double the thickness — the card people comment on. 32pt Uncoated is the same weight with a natural, writable surface for a modern minimalist look. Natural Uncoated (14pt recycled) and Brown Kraft (100% recycled) suit organic, craft and eco-conscious brands and take a pen or stamp. Spot UV puts a glossy raised accent on a matte card for logos and patterns. White Ink on Midnight Black prints opaque white and light colours on true black stock. Letterpress presses your design into thick cotton for a tactile, heritage feel, and Blind Deboss gives an ink-free sculpted impression.

Thickness, finishes and edges

Card weight is the first thing a hand notices. 14pt is standard, 16pt is our everyday recommendation, and 32pt is roughly a millimetre thick — it stands on its edge. Finishes: gloss UV for punch, matte or soft-touch for a premium feel, spot UV for contrast, foil stamping in gold, silver, copper, rose gold and holographic, and painted edges in any colour on 32pt stock. Rounded corners are available on every stock.

What is the best paper thickness for business cards?

16pt is the sweet spot for everyday cards — noticeably sturdier than 14pt at a similar price. Choose 32pt (soft touch or uncoated) when you want a premium, heavy card that stands out; it is roughly twice the thickness of a standard card.

Can I get business cards printed the same day?

Yes. 16pt semi-gloss and 14pt business cards ordered and proof-approved before 11 AM CT ship the same business day from Houston. Specialty finishes such as soft touch, spot UV, foil and letterpress take 2–6 business days.

What is the minimum order for custom business cards?

100 cards per design on most stocks, with pricing that drops sharply at 250, 500 and 1,000. Teams can order multiple names in one order — each name is priced as its own set and banded separately.

Do you print business cards for agencies and print resellers?

What is the difference between soft touch and matte?

Matte is a flat, non-reflective coating. Soft touch is a laminate with a velvety, suede-like feel that also resists fingerprints and scuffs; it is only available on our 32pt stock and pairs beautifully with spot UV or foil.

Can I print white ink on black business cards?

Yes. Our White Ink on Midnight Black cards print opaque white and pastel colours directly onto true black 16pt stock — no reversed-out black ink, so the card stays black at the edges.
